Well today was the first day back at school (groan) but don't stress because it's Australia Day on Wednesday!
Don't forget to get decked out in your best green n gold, get together with your family and celebrate the country we are so blessed to call home.

chillout day at VACC
Hey guys!
We hope all of our one80 people are safe. Please be praying for the people of our city and the surrounding region. This is the worst crisis we've facing in most of our lifetimes.
If you're not stuck at home because of the floods then come along to church this Friday (the 14th) and chillout. We'll be hanging out playing xbox and ps3, board games, cards, and just chilling out and chatting. It's from 10am-3pm, you are welcome to come and go as you please. You need to provide your own lunch (there's a 7-11 and shops near by), but cans of drink will be available for $1.
Students are welcome to bring consoles, games etc.

Watch a pizza, eat a movie
On Monday night (Jan 10th) you're all invited to Mike and Vicki's house for pizza and a movie from 6.30pm-10pm. Please bring $5 for pizza and a bottle of drink or something to share. We'll provide the popcorn, screen and movie.

Get some culture these holidays!
Hey guys!
Just a reminder that tomorrow there is a one80 activity if you're looking for somethinf to do. We're heading into Southbank tomorrow as a group to get some culture (and I'm not talking about cheese)
We'll be meeting at VACC at 9AM. We'll be walking to Coopers Plains train station and catching the train to South Bank, where we will be spending some of the day visiting the Queensland Art Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and the Queensland Museum. We'll then wander down to the parklands to pick up some late lunch.
We'll be back at church by 4PM, but we willl contact parents if we are going to be arriving back earlier. The galleries and museum are all free, so you'll just need money for the train (or a GoCard) and money for lunch.
