Brayk_Up P@rTy

Well my friends,
It's definitely been a great year at One80 for us all! It's been a new, unique year full of madness and learning experiences for all I'm sure. So what better way to head into the holidays than with a good ole' splashdown?! Ryan's lovely family has once again been so kind as to open their doors for us, so when you get there, make sure to thank them all for it! Here are the details you need to know!
TIME: 6:30pm - 10pm (That's a whole extra hour of One80-ness!)
PLACE: Get dropped off at the VACC at 6:30, and picked up from the Denny home at 10. You will be traveling to Ryan's house in leaders cars. Ryan's parents are Kevan and Debbie, and you can contact their house on 3273 7273.
COST: FREE! But do please bring a drink or a bag of chips or lollies or something to share. Dinner will be provided! How awesome is that?!
EXTRA: If you want to go straight to Ryan's house, that's sweet, just get there at about 6:45!

I'm not able to make it this week, but my shirt should be there if anybody still wants to sign it (please do, I love you all!), so I'm trusting you all to have a flippin' sweet time! Remember to not trash the place, as it's my second home, and the Denny's have been extremely gracious for us...again! Farewell all the year 12's again, and give The Supertiph a huuuuuuge hug! Well, I'm done.
Later Skaters!

More Than Just Food?

Thanks to a site Thanman got me onto, I found another site called "Museum of Food Anomalies". It helped me to view food in a new, creative and kind of scary way. As I checked out the site I got the feeling that maybe our food is actually trying to reach out to us...to communicate with us. Maybe our food isn't just food. Maybe our food thinks and feels. Maybe our food knows. If you are ready to have your world turned upsdie down, click on the pictures below and check out a tiny bit of what I saw. Look and read and you to will be changed.
If you find it to be an insightful and mind opening experience, click on the link and spend a few minutes emersing yourself in all that the museum has to offer.
Don't forget to share your thoughts and feelings with the rest of us.
Have fun and keep laughing.

The Goods on One80 Camp 2006

It's time to end the rumours and specualtions. Everything you need to know and everything you need to fill out is right here! It should be an excellent weekend. We will definitely be taking advantage of what's available to us being on the Gold Coast rather than on Straddie so, expect camp to be quite different to the past few years. Don't worry, different is good!
So, print them out, hand them out, fill them out then get them in. We know you don't have much time to reply but you no one ever gets stuff in early anyway. They just lose the forms and keep asking for new ones.
Love you guys.

It's that time of term again,
The time when everybody comes along to jam night, to enoy a wonderful evening of...jam making! Heh heh, not really. We're making peanut butter this time!

Ok kids, let's be serious now. JAM NIGHT is here, and it's going to be a great one. As usual, there will be a multitude of activities; here's a brief list.
  • music-y stuff
  • sports outside with the boys
  • cooking in the kitchen
  • girly-girl stuff (I think...I'm not a leader so I don't know)
  • hanging out and doing nothing
  • zoning it up with some video games
  • and the year 12's have a special planning meeting to make some special plans for a special thing....special.

Wow, talk about jam packed with stuff to do! Ahahahahaha! *cough ahem* Ok, here's the fine print. Time - 7:30 till 10:30. Cost - It will cost $2, which ain't all that much, to cover for the fine foods that we'll be making. Place - At the VACC, woo!

Also, one last note everybody, If you want to come to the picnic with the young adults from church at Wellington (Welly) Point on Saturday Nov. 11, then Mike will need to know tonight, or by TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7th at the latest. Awesome!

Catcha ya later, kiddies!

While Ryan's Away, The Pony Will Play!

Good evening all,
How are your holidays faring? Mine have been pretty boring so far; I've had nothing to do. One of my friends who doesnt go to One80 is really unreliable when it comes to making plans via the phone: it'd help if they picked up or at least messaged back. Anyway, I've decided to post up some cool holiday things for you to do. Check 'em out!!!

  • Visit www.homestarrunner.com. This site is chock full of hilarious and entertaining cartoons, set in the land of Strongbadia. I recommend checking out the characters page, followed by the Sbemail page (start at the bottom!). There is so much to see here, but it's always gonna be funny. If you want some more suggestions on things to check out, ask The Supertiph or Sara The Bogantastic Loserface (as she calls herself these days).
  • Brainstorm cool things that could be implemented at One80 on friday nights, and post 'em up here! The leaders would love any suggestions to enhance the coolness factor of tribal warfare, infiltration and other such classic games.
  • Sign up at blogspot (www.blogspot.com) and join the jeke community! Well-known One80-ers with jekes (my word for blog) are Sara, Charnstar, Tiph, Me, Amynta & George, Harry...and many others. Just make sure updates are regular, or you'll be in for the update song.
  • Prank call...somebody. Not me. Ryan if you want, but not me.
  • Pop in and see The Supertiph at work one day. Colorado at Garden City is the place to go. And if you wanna see me fixing up the Barbie aisle at work, ask me when I'm working and i'll tell you when you can pop on in. Oh, and we're sold out of foam dart shotguns, but still have plenty of other, less-cool dart guns.
  • Reminisce on this site about the coolest One80 related thing that happened to you last term. Or the funniest story about something happening at school! Let us into the wacky lives of you guys.
  • Something else which I forgot but thought was pretty witty.

So there ya's have it. I did something on the site. Now enjoy it, Mr Ryyarn gets back in a couple of days, and may just write up a new post, so savour this one while it's number one. Have a good one kids, God bless you all and stay safe on your holidays.

What a tops term we did have

Well, that's a wrap for term 3. It was a close tribal warfare this term, and while there were controversies over the final night's scores, the win goes to Abimelech, and now we must bid our old tribes goodbye and start the countdown to term 4. Much fun will be had at outbreak over this week. Whatever you do over the holidays, I wish you a good and productive holidays, and look forward to seeing you all soon.
Take care, chill out and enjoy your well-deserved break guys. Check back here for all the updates over the break, and please behave yourselves in the threads (while I'm away, ponyboy is in charge, and he is a tough guy)

Tribal Tie-Breaker!!!

stomach Well,
It's been a big, BIG term at One80, especially in the realms of Tribal Warfare...there can only be one winner though, and who will it be?

Will Zebulun keep up their powerhouse steamrolling?
Or will Abimelech show that their comeback trail is as mighty as a thunderstorm?
The question will be anwered tommorrow night...

The Bobby McFroggy Medal can only be endowed with one tribe's name, and there will be no quarter given in the struggle for tribal glory. Best of luck to both formidable opponents, let's get out there, and have a great night of fun, laughs and friendship! And after the games are up, that hilarious section of the night we all love so well (FNL!!!) is on, complete with video clips, games and jokes all round! I can't wait! What a big night...let's hear it for One80! Let's hear it for the leaders! Let's hear it for Fridays!

It's all on at the normal time of 7.30pm - 10pm and is of absolute zero cost to you all (unless you're looking for a sugar fix at the canteen), but let's all donate some spare $$$ to the Tear Tin and help out those less fortunate than us.

Onya guys! The holidays are here!!! Yay for a break from school!!!

Seamus 'O' Seanussy.

ps. Check out the new The Fat! It's awesome on a whole 33 different levels!

The Fat Term 4 2006

Wow, it's been a huge long time since I posted.
In the words of Shaggy, "It's...like...zoiks!!!"
Anyways, here's the new Fat. Check it out. Mark it in your diaries.
We'll see you all at Tribal this Friday. Will it be Zebulun or Abimelech who will win fame and glory for all time?
I don't know! It's too close to call.
What I do know is Tribal and FNL will be sweet!
Love you guys

JAM NIGHT!!!

Yes kids jam night is on again this term, and there's something for everybody this Friday night!
For all the musos, bring your instruments and singing voices and have a jam. If your not musical, don't stress!
We also have cooking, ps2 and xbox (no lamecubes though), footy on the lawn, a beauty room for the girls (or the boys) and maybe even a movie in one room (that's not set in concrete yet). The sugar shack will be running through the night too, complete with the tear tin.
So get your butt to one80 this Friday, September 15th, and have some fun, cos there's something for everyone. 7.30-10pm as usual at VACC, cyas there!

VOTE FOR MUTTO!

Wednesday, September 06, 2006

After a stunning performance last round, Zebulun leads Abimilech
2-1. It's a close game! Here's the lowdown:

Abimilech: If you are to have a shot at taking out the series this
term, a victory this Friday night is crucial. Get in there, cos they
can't do it without you!
Zebulun: While low on number and ravaged by disease in the last
round, Zebulun still rose to an inspiring win. With a full team this
week, Zebulun could be an unstoppable force, with the Bobby
McFroggy trophy just an easy stride away.
It is time to show them who is the superior tribe

Yes it's the usual 7.30-10pm, at VACC, and of course it's FREE!
The sugar shack will be open for all your canteeny neeeds, and
not only will the tear tin be out, so you can help make a difference!

Remember that every friend you bring who is new or has
not been to one80 in the past 4-6 months gets to be on
your tribe, and earns your tribe bonus points just for
coming! (either 1000 or 5000, ask Mike)

It's gunna be a long week...

This Friday (Sept 1) there's no one80 on, incase you didn't know, but the formal dinner is on Saturday. So yeah, anyway, leave your comments of all variety on the new thread- or the whatya-callit- old thread.
Here's some conversation stimulus: Youth Alive, Frullet and Angie the walking billboards, Harry's cool sunnies, Kita's frightful driving, Formal dinners of past and present, the antique show on channel 9, and Tribal Warfare.

A night in the unknown

This Friday, August 25th, we are running a night called Simulated Reality. It runs from 7.30-10pm at VACC like any other week, but it is going to be alot mor interesting then usual. Friday is another opportunity for you to experience what life is like for some people in different parts of the world.
You will no doubt be suprised at some of the things you learn, but don't stress too much, because we'll also be looking at some practical ways you can make a difference, and how you can do your part to stop poverty in the world.

This is a free event, but you may want to bring some money to invest into the Tear tin, through which we are helping to break the poverty cycle across the world.

Also, this weekend would be a good time to pay for Formal Dinner if your going, because you have to have your money to cassie Dixon by Tuesday August 29th.

Tech-no-mology!!!

ollyhat Well,
It's been a week in the making, but One80 Youth Ministries has its own chatroom! Made by our own homegrown PH Fat Harry with help from Wiki Master Supersam, it's now open for all to enjoy! I'll get Ryyarn to make a link to it on the sidebar, but for now, here is the address:

http://one80chat.blogspot.com

It's password protected so as to prevent any creepy weirdos invading One80-ness, but so they can't just come here to look for it, it's cryptic:

Who is the youth pastor at One80?
(answer is all in lower case letters)

If you can answer that, you're on your way to One80 chat!
All the usual One80 rules apply (eg. no spamming, hiding of identity, profanity, explicit content). Also, I say we give a huge thank you and slap on the back to Harry for doin' this of his own accord! A round of applause for Gordo and his little shoutbox he has given us! Supersam for the Wiki and his up-and-coming flash games!
This is Ponyboy,
Good afternoon.

Tribal Warfare gets wilder!

Tribal Warfare is on again this Friday, August 11!
I'm sorry this post is so bland and unappealing, but Mike started that trend with his LAME flyers (just stirrin ya mate). This Friday however will be anything but bland, because it's Tribal Warfare and Friday Night Live!
7.30pm-10pm, at VACC, it's free, and the sugar shack will be open!
I can reveal that it will be an interesting, very unusual night, but I'll let Mike give away the hints. There are already enough threads so go to one of the other two posts to comment.
COMMENT NOW...DOWN BELOW!
Also, if you plan on coming to Youth Alive, read the youth alive post further down the page, and if you want a seat with one80 you must give Cassie your money by August 20th so she can pre-book.

One80...you gotta luv it!

Well guys, the (not) Sleepover was huge! One80 idol was one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. Big points to everyone who gave it a go, especially the girls with their One80 song (sweet!). Watching that old man bite tenderly was well... umm... yeah... enough said. The speedy slapping game was super speedy. The pizzas, the movies, the markers, the XBoxes, the cans of drink, the cleaning up, the red eyes, my serious voice (Angela!), it was all huge. In fact with 58 students participating (including Kaston, Beth and Ben's late night visit) it was literally the biggest night in One80 history. Thanks for inviting your friends and thanks for a great time.
If you had friends along for the first time on Friday night, we would love to see them again this Friday at Tribal Warfare (imagine 29 students on each side..yeah!) so invite them, encourage them, bribe them but most importantly pray for them! We would love to see your friends part of the One80 community and to see them turn to Jesus and know what it is to be a friend of God!
Love you guys

Faces Of Red And Shows Of Talent

G'day all you One80 goers,

It's the Ponyboy here, bringing you a quick update and notice. As most of y'all will know, the second week of One80 is the annual sleepover. As per already mentioned by.....umm....ya'know, that guy.....Mike! That's his name! There will be a red faces/talent show for all willing to get up and remove whatever shred of dignity they have left (Charnstar is going for the all-time record aren't ya dude?) by performing a skit, a song or any other item for the good folks at One80. But there are rules. *Drum Roll* Aaaaaaand heeeeere they are!

1. Nothing suss, dodgy, offensive, dirty, rude, crude or otherwise yucky may be performed. Make it suitable for our mothers and grandmothers to watch. We don't wanna have to pull the plug on people for being unnecessarily (spelling correction please Supersam?) rude.

2. No more than 3 entries per person or group. Submit your 3 entries via commenting on this post and/or getting it in writing to Ryan or I before the Monday before the sleepover. If on the night there is excess time, you may possibly be allowed to perform unscheduled skits, but I cannot say for sure.

3. No posing as somebody else to nominate them for something they don't want to do/are unaware of doing. We don't want to be buggin' poor Billy to burp the alphabet when it was just a fake nomination by "Joe Bloggs".

4. Keep your act tight, on track and to plan as much as possible. No excessive mucking around and stuff. We understand you may forget lines, get stage fright etc etc, but try and rehearse and perfect it as much as humanely, sanely and insanely possible. A time limit of no more than 5 minutes applies, so keep to it, lest we SMITE YOU DOWN!!!

5. Anybody can enter: leaders or students. The more the merrier. Also, there may be prizes. Once again I am unsure. Sorry!

6. Please only comment on this post to nominate yourself, no random blah blah blah, thats what MSN is for. Or the other threads. In nominating, name yourself and any others involved in your skits, the approximate time length of each one, and what kind of skit it is, eg. song, dance, performance etc. Skits may be serious or funny, or even both! Be creative! Ryan or I will contact you later to learn what you propose to do in your skit, don't post it here unless otherwise notified - don't wanna spoil the surprise!

I think that's all, but come back every now and then to see if any of my numerous unsureties have been remedied.

God bless y'all,

Sean

-This post has now had it's spelling corrected. Thank-you Supersam!-

A picture is worth a thousand words

Well done to Ilembe! Itr was a fantastic series of Tribal Warfare all together!
By the way, some of you may have heard that Cassie was carried off from Kid's Games yesterday in an ambulance. Well, it's true. However, althogh she was/is in considerable pain, she has not brocken any bones but tore a ligament in her ankle and burst a capillary.
Be praying that she heals fast and get's back to normal mobility without any complications.

Have great holidays guys.

Strength is Found in Weakness

Hey Guys,
Here are some of the verses we looked at on Friday Night.

"... there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Corinthians 12:7-10 NIV)

"...I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan's angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn't think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it's all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ's strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size--abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become." (2 Corinthians 12:7-10 The Message)

When I am weak, then I am strong! What an awesome way to take your troubles and see them as a blessing, a gift.
Have you ever experienced God's power working in you and through because of an unpleasant situation in your life?
Leave your comments and be an ecouragement to your One80 friends.
Love you guys.

Salvation is Here

In my last post, we started looking at one80's 5 purposes. That is, the 5 things that one80 exists to do.
Just to remind you, the 5 purposes can be summarised in the following words...

BUILD REACH GROW CONNECT EMPOWER

Now it's time for number 2, REACH.
Purpose 2 - Reach High School students with the good news about Jesus Christ.

"...if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.... 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" (Romans 10:9, 13-15 NIV)

"Say the welcoming word to God--"Jesus is my Master"--embracing, body and soul, God's work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That's it. You're not "doing" anything; you're simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That's salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: "God has set everything right between him and me!" Scripture reassures us, "No one who trusts God like this--heart and soul--will ever regret it." It's exactly the same no matter what a person's religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. "Everyone who calls, 'Help, God!' gets help."
But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That's why Scripture exclaims, A sight to take your breath away! Grand processions of people telling all the good things of God! (Romans 10:9-15 The Message)

Here's some questions to help get you thinking AND COMMENTING. (Don't be afraid about commenting about the "God stuff" that I post here. What I would love is to see you guys commenting a number of times and commenting on other people's comments so that we can learn from each other an encourage each other. Enough said)

What is the good news about Jesus?
When did you first respond to this good news?
What difference has it made?
What is our responsibility now that we have believed the good news?
What experiences have you had, good or bad, in reaching others with the good news?

Love you guys
Know Jesus and make Him known,
Mike

P.S. My grandmother (my mum's mum) died a couple of days ago (well into her 90's!) and I am going back to Sydney on Sunday and doing part of her funeral on Monday. Please pray for me as I speak and spend time with my family and try to reach them with the good news about Jesus. My Nanna wasn't saved and neither are my brothers, their wives, my uncle and auntie and my cousins and their families. Pray that I will have courage to speak the truth in love. Thanks one80ers.

CHAIR RALLY TONIGHT!

What on earth is a chair rally?

If you went last year, you may well remember; if not come along and find out!
I guarantee, you'll love it!
7.30pm we meet up at VACC. I can tell you that it will involve being split into small groups (with your friends fo course) and will feature some of the streets around the church. Each group will have a leader with them the whole time (so no funny business PHarry)

IT IS FREE! FREE FREE FREE!
Well, if the fact it's free isn't a good reason to go, I dunno what is.
Cyas there!

A Life Changing, Earth Shattering, History Making Community

As some of you may be aware, One80 has 5 purposes. These are the 5 things that one80 exists to to. They are each summarised by a single key word. They are...

BUILD REACH GROW CONNECT EMPOWER

Purpose 1 is to...Build a community of love, care, acceptance and fun.

One of the Bible passages that comes into my mind when I think about the sort of community that God wants One80 to be is Acts 2:42-47. It talks about how the first Christians related to each other, lived life with each other and the impact that this type of community living had on the people around them.
Have a read of the passage, it's just below.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." (NIV)

"They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers. Everyone around was in awe--all those wonders and signs done through the apostles! And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person's need was met. They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved." (The Message)

So guys, what were some of the characteristics of this community?
What was the impact of this sort of living?
How would you like to be a part of something like this?
What would this sort of community look like in a One80 context?
What are YOU going to do to make this community more and more of a reality for us?

Guys, I love serving you. I love serving God with you. I count it a privilege and a blessing from God that you allow me to be a part of your life. You guys encourage, inspire and challenge me. I am in awe of what God is doing in so many of your lives. It is not just a throw away line when I write...
Know Jesus and make Him known

[Insert Witty Post Title Here]

Good morning all,
how are is everybody this fine saturday? i'm taking a break from my homework to post up here, and i'll start off with this: how did you find last night? what was the most challenging circumstance you faced? did you have fun? what is your worldview on things issues refugees now? i had a good time last night, but i wont say it wasnt confronting. i gotta admit, at the start, when the lights went off and the guns started, i was pretty freaked out. crazy stuff. the leaders did a great job in their roles, props to them for that! thanks also to mike for the little discussion he led afterwards; what do people think they can do for those in situations like what we only got a taste of last night? lets get out there and make a difference! its our world, and our future too, so we have to get involved, and change this world alongside Jesus!!!
also, i'd like to post a beautiful poem that i found on a Christian Forums website. its called "When I Say". have a read of it, and comment on what you think of it, and how it applies all of us who are Christians in this world.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting, "I am saved"
I'm whispering, "I was lost"
That's why I chose this way.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and pray for strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are too visible,
but God knows I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I speak His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know that I am loved.

i love this poem, howsabout you?

2 For the Price of One

Howdy One80ers out in cyber world.
Well, what do you guys think of your new tribes? What did you think of Tribal Warfare on Friday night? Who are you inviting to the next Tribal Warfare?

Prasie God we saw 3 students come to know Jesus for the first time on Friday night. Be praying for Anthony, Ash and Laura as the start to live for Jesus. also be praying for all the other studenst who are already Christians but really needed to call out to Jesus for forgiveness and a restored relationship?
Go Justine for "Going Public"! that was super sweet.

I hope and pray that you're all experiencing the presence and joy of God in your life today.
What are you writing on your eternal index cards today? What are you filling your drawers with?
Remember, Jesus' name is written over all that you have done. If you know him, you are forgiven, washed clean and made new.

Hey, check out this passage. It's one of my favourites and packed full of inspiring, encouraging, comforting and challenging stuff.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Corinthians 5:17-21 NIV)

"Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We're Christ's representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God's work of making things right between them. We're speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he's already a friend with you. How? you say. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God." (2 Corinthians 5:17-21 The Message)

Share your thoughts on some or all of the following questions or make your own comments as the questions are just there to help you think.
What does it mean that we are "new creations"?
What does it mean that "all this is from God"?
Who did God reconcile us to Himself?
What is our role, our responsibility now that we are reconciled to God?
What does the very last sentence mean?
After reading the passage, how should you now live?

Love you guys
Know Jesus and make Him known
Mike
